Pease Pottage are a Duo (a bonus if space should be limited) and play a variety of instruments from the Tudor and medieval periods including crumhorns, recorders, harp and shawms.

We have a comprehensive and varied repertoire but if you have particular requests for music from medieval and Tudor times or traditional folk tunes please let us know in good time and we will do our best to oblige.

"We so enjoyed the performance of Pease Pottage at our festival. I have never enjoyed bagpipes before but the ones you used and the way you played them sounded so sweet".
St Mary's Festival.

When requesting information about a prospective booking we would need details such as date, timings, venue… and your contact address and phone number. If a booking is agreed then Booking Confirmation will then be sent for you to sign (one copy to be kept for your records and one to be returned within 14 days).

A 25% booking fee is taken on return of the signed Booking Confirmation with the balance due 7 days prior to the date of the event. The fee is based on the duration we are required at the function. We don’t charge for our set-up time (we arrive 40-60 minutes before we are due to start to set up and liaise with the venue) and will usually take a 10-15 minute break every 45 minutes that we will endeavour to fit within the day’s schedule.

We wear smart black or casual black or Tuxedo and coloured dress to fit in with any theme being used or period costume, whichever you feel suits the ambience of your occasion. We are happy to play outdoors in the summer months if it is fine and dry! Should it be too cold, wet or windy we would have to play indoors. We require suitable protection from the sun (i.e. natural shade or a gazebo) to protect the instruments from direct sunlight.

Weddings: Possible times to play include:
Ceremony: Whilst the guests arrive, music for entry and exit and during the signing of the register.
Reception: For the drinks reception, during the photos, the wedding breakfast.
